Scott Ahern
CEO & President
Scott brings more than 38 years of technology and business experience to his position as CEO. A highly regarded leader in the in-building wireless industry, Scott has led several successful business units at AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Avaya, and Motorola Solutions. Most recently he served as Vice President & General Manager of Wireless Information Networks (WIN).
John “Mac” McLaughlin
Vice President of Sales
Mac is a proven business executive with over 35 years of telecom experience in the enterprise emerging market sector and the in-building cellular space. He held several leadership positions as a Vice President at AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Exp@nets.
Mac builds partnerships with building/venue owners and all the major cellular carriers to fast track the deployment of in-building distributed antenna systems (DAS). As an example, his teams have delivered over a 100,000,000 square feet of neutral host carrier owned and funded DAS projects in the Class A office sector.
Most recently Mac was Vice President of Business Development at Wireless Information Networks (WIN).
Scott Hunter
Vice President of Business Development (Transport)
Scott is a proactive sales and business development executive with over 20 years of expertise driving revenue growth in various industries. His specific knowledge is complemented by his real estate development expertise. Scott is results-driven and has an impeccable track record of performance, coupled with consistent achievement. His extensive network of professional contacts throughout greater Chicago and the Midwest region provides him with the ability to leverage his network to build relationships and ensure team success.
Prior to Urban Networks, Scott managed the Midwest and Canada for CityLift Parking, where he brought and implemented new technology to the U.S.
Shamus McLaughlin
Vice President of Operations
Shamus is a proven leader with over 10 years of project management experience; 5 of those years he focused on the installation of enhanced in-building cellular solutions.
Shamus’s Teams have installed over 25,000,000 square feet of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) in the Class A office sector. As an agile senior manager, he is known for his strong communication and project management skills, increasing organization capacity through streamlining complex processes and helping customers reduce their costs. He has managed every phase of a project from estimating and budgeting to engineering review and installation. His strong contract management and negotiation skills has resulted in significantly shortening issue resolution time for clients.
Shamus knows that organizations are looking for comprehensive and flexible solutions that deliver business results while focusing on bringing the project in on time and on budget.
Most recently Shamus was Senior Project Manager at Wireless Information Networks (WIN).
